Whether that's staying late to make sure a job is done right, or stepping up to lead other engineers well beyond what her role requires. She brings genuine enthusiasm to all of it.

The Women in Fire Safety award is not only about good service. It also recognises and celebrates technical expertise, dedication to customer safety, and a drive to keep raising standards across fire engineering. Rebekah embodies all three through her “holistic, research-first” approach.

While working for OHEAP Fire and Security, Rebekah has worked across a wide range of sites, from large charities and rehabilitation centres with thousands of fire alarm devices to hospital wards, bringing the same attention to detail and care to every project.

Her work at P3 Charity and Hinchingbrooke Hospital shows exactly why she was nominated. At P3, Rebekah responded to a critical fire alarm fault the same day it was reported, coordinating with other contractors until it was resolved. At Hinchingbrooke, she stayed late to help restore a critical fire alarm loop and built a testing schedule around the hospital's daily operations.

Beyond her fire alarm engineering work, Rebekah has become a key mentor to colleagues. She has helped them improve technical reporting and develop bespoke approaches to fire alarm testing that help customers keep their systems safer and more effective.
