CNC MULTITASKING MACHINING

At Cousins Engineering we operate with 21st century machining techniques, using the latest Mazak Integrex multi-tasking mill/turn machines that produces extreme versatility, speed and accuracy for the manufacturing of complex components. With the done in one physiology, this enables us to reduce production lead times.

CNC MILLING

Our milling cell has a variety of 3 & 4 axis Mazak and Mori Seiki vertical and horizontal machining centres. These machines can accommodate parts up to 1.7 metres in length and 650mm wide. Additionally, they are all directly connected to our network to work in harmony with our CAM software.

CNC TURNING

With our CNC turning cell, we have a range of 2 & 3 axis Mazak Lathes with live tooling and barfeed. We can machine components from 10mm to 76mm diameter on the bar and a billit size of up to 400mm diameter.

CAD/CAM

Our programming suite has an array of various software packages allowing us to work with a multitude of file formats, enabling us to produce programmes from a 3D model or from a CAD drawing. In addition to this we can create an engineering drawing for manufacturing from a customer sample component as well as the traditional method of offline programming from a paper drawing.

STOCK CONTROL

We use Progress Plus, a complete manufacturing and inventory control software package to monitor customer orders from receipt to despatch, providing us with complete traceability of raw materials to finished goods. In addition, we can offer Kanban to our customers with a dedicated secure storage area with weekly reports of current stock levels.

SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICES

To complement our in-house facilities we have an extensive approved supplier base and offer the following services;

- Precision hand de-burring 40 X Magnification
- Welding
