CNC Routing
CNC routing is a highly adaptable multi-operation process that enables the machining of long aluminium extrusions to create unique shapes and features.
Our substantial investment in two Mecal Kosmos routing machines allows us to process aluminium extrusions measuring up to 6 metres in length. While the enclosed machine bed accommodates pieces up to 4 metres, the extrusion can be meticulously moved through the machines to handle longer lengths efficiently.
Utilising a combination of dynamic clamps and custom-built fixturing, we ensure that even intricate or awkwardly shaped extrusions are securely held in place, facilitating consistent and repeatable machining operations. Our machines can also rotate to any desired angle, allowing us to accommodate extrusions with angled faces or features prior to processing.
Common operations such as drilling, tapping, notching, and slotting can be swiftly programmed by our skilled operators. Moreover, more complex cut-outs or machined features can be seamlessly imported from CAD files to ensure precise execution.
To enhance efficiency, additional components such as sheet nuts or studs are typically fitted by the operator whilst the next component is being machined, significantly reducing manufacturing time.
With our advanced CNC routing capabilities, we are committed to delivering high-quality, tailor-made aluminium solutions that meet your specific requirements.

Moulding
About us
Located in Weston-Super-Mare, in the South West of England, C&T Engineering Ltd was founded in 1983. Our activities are split mainly into 4 divisions:
Toolmaking
We provide services for manufacturing press tools and injection mould tooling, catering to the needs of our clients for their exclusive use or for the in-house production of their components. Our experienced toolmakers, supported by apprentices and a well-equipped tool room, enable us to handle a diverse range of projects, spanning from individual prototypes to small production batches.
Presswork
Our press facility is equipped with power presses ranging from 6 to 25 tons, and we manufacture press tools and tooling in our own tool room. This capability allows us to produce various finished components, including corner cleats (chevrons), brackets, plates, fixing lugs, and straps. Additionally, we handle the punching and preparation of our customers' extrusions and components. The presses can be supplied with strip material guillotined on-site, automatically fed material using coil and power feed units, or single pre-cut items positioned manually. In addition to our power presses, we also possess a variety of hydraulic punching fixtures, all produced in-house for punching our customers' extrusions.
CNC Routing & Machining
C&T Engineering Ltd specializes in CNC machining and high-volume production of small primarily aluminium components used in diverse industries. Throughout the years, we have devised and implemented numerous strategies to optimize the production of such items.
Moulding
By employing Arburg moulding machines with clamping capacities ranging from 25 to 100 tons, C&T Engineering Ltd provides customers with the flexibility to choose between short runs for immediate requirements or long-term planned production. We maintain a well-stocked inventory of common plastics and standard colours, allowing us to promptly meet the needs of our customers.
With over four decades of experience, C&T Engineering Ltd has evolved into a contemporary enterprise. Through a renewed perspective and significant investment, we have adopted new technologies and processes that empower us to thrive in a highly competitive market.
Despite our modernisation, we continue to uphold traditional values. Furthermore, the recent inclusion of apprentices, a first in the company's history, underscores our enduring commitment to the future.
