Air Source Heat Pumps
Does your home or business have an air source heat pump which either needs a repair, isn’t operating efficiently or isn’t producing the energy savings you expect? Contact Go Greener Energy Services today and we can help you with your low carbon goals.
Heat pumps are a low-carbon alternative to gas central heating for providing heating and hot water. They work in a similar way to air conditioning by transferring air between the outside and the inside of a building and heating/cooling accordingly to provide the required climate conditions.
An air source heat pump works differently to a ground source heat pump, in that it absorbs heat from the outside air, and increases/decreases the temperature using a compressor and refrigerant. Air source heat pumps are located outside a building, and there are generally two types, an air to water heat pump (which produces hot air and hot water) and an air to air heat pump (which only generates hot air).
Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHPs)
If you have a ground source heat pump that is not working or is not generating the energy savings you expect, contact Go Greener Energy Services and we can help improve your environmental performance.
A ground source heat pump is a sustainable, low carbon method of producing heat for radiators, hot water and other heating systems. It is different to an air source heat pump in that it uses heat from the ground, which is extracted using a looped pipe system dug into a trench or vertically in a borehole. The extracted heat is absorbed into a fluid, which passes through a heat exchanger and into the heat pump.
You generally need space outside the home or business to bury the pipework, and space inside the premises to house the heat pump. The ground source heat pump also runs on electricity, but this should be comfortably off-set by the energy savings generated. However, if you are not seeing these results, or there is an operational problem with your heat pump, you can contact GoGreen Energy.
Solar PV Panels
Have you invested in solar PV panels for your home, but you are not seeing the electricity savings you expected? Let Go Greener Energy Services assess your solar PV system to establish why. We can carry out repairs and servicing of your solar panels to ensure you are getting maximum output from the sun’s rays and that this is converted into important electricity bill savings. So contact Go Greener Energy Services today.
Commercial Solar Panels
Does your business have solar panels installed which are not working or generating the electricity savings you need? Contact Go Greener Energy Services today and we can help you maximise the output of your solar panels so you can enjoy huge potential energy savings.
Every commercial organisation has a goal of reducing costs and promoting a sustainable culture. Energy costs can be a huge burden for a business, but utilities are critical to all organisations and in some commercial and industrial sectors there are heavy demands on electricity usage. This means that the significant investment made in solar PV panels needs to show a consistent and reliable return, while an effective and efficient solar PV system is also important in terms of environmental compliance and meeting sustainability targets.
Electric Storage Heaters
Do you have an electric storage heater that is not working or is not providing the energy savings you expected? There may be an operational problem that is contributing to this performance issue, so contact the renewable energy source experts – Go Greener Energy Services – and we can work with you to improve your low-carbon performance.
An electric storage heater is a simple and effective heating source and a low carbon alternative to gas central heating. It uses the high heat retention (HHR) principle of storing cheap electricity that is generated overnight to heat your property during the day. An electric storage heater is a much simpler design compared to different types of boiler, and hence is cheaper to install and is typically longer-lasting.
It is still possible to encounter electrical or operational problems with an electric storage heater, however, and there are factors you need to consider which can affect their performance and what energy savings you can generate. Electric storage heaters are slim in design, which makes them aesthetically appealing and also flexible in terms of where they can be located, but this can sometimes compromise their performance. Working with Go Greener Energy Services, we can help you optimise the performance of your electric storage heaters to generate the energy savings you need.
EV Chargers
Do you have EV chargers at your home or business that encounter operational issues, or need regular servicing? Contact Go Greener Energy Services – the renewable energy source experts – and we can help you keep your systems running to meet your environmental targets.
The transition to electric vehicle (EV) driving is well underway and unstoppable, and the investment in public and private infrastructure is making this much easier. Fast and ultra-fast charging stations are now commonplace in public car parks, roadsides, service stations and workplaces, while home charging stations are also increasingly common. Finding a cost-effective and convenient charging source is essential in managing the transition to EV motoring, and Go Greener Energy Services can help you navigate this change with reliable and effective repairs and maintenance of your charging stations.
EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) effectively covers the charger and associated cabling and adaptors needed to charge an EV battery, and this is an electrical installation which, like any other, requires regular inspection, testing and maintenance for safety purposes, and is also subject to occasional operational issues. EVSE is covered by relevant legislation and Go Greener Energy Services have expert knowledge and understanding of these requirements.

Air Conditioning
Does your air conditioning unit need repairs or servicing? Or is it not generating the energy savings you expected? Contact Go Greener Energy Services today and we can work with you to optimise your system and reduce your carbon footprint.
Air conditioning systems are increasingly popular in commercial businesses and are almost fitted as standard in new commercial developments. They are also common in domestic homes and residential complexes. Air conditioning works using the principle of heat transfer to maintain a comfortable ambient temperature inside a building. A system will remove warm, stale air from inside a building and pump it outside, and using refrigerant gases it will cool air that is drawn from outside a building and re-circulate it inside to moderate the temperature and humidity. Air conditioning will also deliver health benefits by improving the air quality and using filters to remove particles, allergens and dust.
How hard an air conditioning system needs to work – and therefore how much energy it consumes – depends on the ambient temperature and how cool or warm you want a room to be. At Go Greener Energy Services, our engineers can work with you to develop your understanding of the system and what can affect its operation, and we can also study and assess the system to ensure it is optimised to run efficiently and cost-effectively.
Loft Insulation
Do you have an accessible loft space that hasn’t been insulated or where old insulation needs replacing? Approximately 25% of heat loss in a home is through roof and loft space, so you can make huge energy savings by contacting Go Greener Energy Services and having a loft insulation installation today.
Warm air rises in your home and can often be lost through loft and roof space if your loft is not adequately insulated. Adding an effective layer of thermal insulation in the loft provides a barrier which keeps the warm air circulating around your home and provides warmth and comfort without using excessive energy.
External Wall Insulation
If you have solid external walls in your home (ie. not cavity walls) then you can consider external wall insulation as a cost-effective insulation solution. External wall insulation can save you money on your energy bills and can also add value to your home as a desirable decorative finish, so contact our experts at Go Greener Energy Services today and we can discuss the right insulation solution for you.
External wall insulation is a method of providing thermal insulation for your exterior walls by adding layers of insulating materials and a protective render to the outside of the walls. We use highly effective materials as the main insulating component, while the synthetic render protects the insulating material, making it a long-term solution, and also adding a stylish decorative effect.
Installing external wall insulation can reduce the heat loss experienced in your property by up to 40%, which could save you as much as £930 in your annual energy bills. If you consider this alongside the protection it provides for your home and the aesthetic appeal it adds, then external wall insulation is one of the most cost-effective insulation solutions around.
Internal Wall Insulation
Do you have an older property with no cavity wall insulation possibilities? Internal wall insulation might be your best option and is a cheaper alternative to external wall insulation, so contact Go Greener Energy Services today.
Many properties built before the 1920s have solid walls and were constructed without a cavity wall. Cavity wall insulation is one of the most common insulation solutions today, but if you don’t have that option, you need to consider external wall insulation or internal wall insulation. If you live in a conservation area or your property is covered by forms of listed protection, you may not be able install external wall insulation, so internal wall insulation is your only option.
Internal wall insulation is the use of rigid insulation boards or other forms of insulating materials which are fitted into stud wall recesses to provide a form of thermal insulation in the home. The insulating material prevents heat loss and is an effective method of keeping the home warm and reducing your energy usage, energy bills and climate impact.
Flat Roof Insulation
Do you have a flat roof in your home that needs insulating? Maybe you have an extension, a garage or an outbuilding that you use frequently? Contact Go Greener Energy Services today and we can help insulate your flat roof as one of our effective insulation solutions.
Improving the energy efficiency of your home is crucial in terms of maintaining warmth, reducing your energy consumption and improving your carbon impact. Around 25% of heat loss in the home is through the roof, and most flat roofs are installed without insulation, so installing flat roof insulation will provide a thermal barrier which reduces heat loss and allows warm air to circulate more efficiently. Flat roofs are particular effective for this because warm air doesn’t get trapped in a roof void or the apex of a pitched roof and will circulate more freely back into a room if it doesn’t escape through an un-insulated roof.
Adding insulation to your flat roof will create a more energy efficient property, and will also act to protect your flat roof. Insulation helps to reinforce the roof structure which could potentially extend its lifespan, saving you further money in the future.
Cavity Wall Insulation
If your home was built within the last 100 years and you don’t have cavity wall insulation, you may be able to have it installed and benefit from one of the most popular types of home insulation solution.
Before the 1920s UK homes were mainly built with solid external walls, but since this time construction techniques have developed and homes are mainly now built with cavity walls. This means there is a gap between the external brick walls and the internal walls. This allows for electrical wiring and pipework to be installed, but also means you can fit different types of cavity wall insulation.
Cavity wall insulation provides a thermal barrier between the external and internal walls, which helps to prevent heat loss in winter, and in the summer it has the opposite effect, ie. it keeps cool air inside and prevents hot air getting into the house. This means you have a moderated temperature all year round, which reduces the strain on your heating system, thus reducing energy usage, energy bills and your climate impact.
Room in roof Insulation
Are you able to utilise your loft space as a habitable area? Then you will need suitable insulation from Go Greener Energy Services. Room in roof insulation is one of the most effective insulation solutions, because it helps to keep loft spaces warm and ensures you are able to make an efficient use of the home by maximising your available space, so contact Go Greener Energy Services today.
If you have a loft conversion to make a new bedroom or maybe a home office, it is a great way to make use of otherwise dead space and is a practical and effective home improvement. But around 25% of heat loss is through the roof, so it is essential that you have your roof properly insulated when you do this.
Room in roof insulation is usually created by adapting a stud wall construction when converting the loft space and using vertical walls and also the sloping wall of the roof itself. Insulating materials can be installed in these stud wall spaces and these are then plaster-boarded in to conceal the insulation. These rooms are now usable and comfortable, because the insulation provides a thermal barrier between the inside and the external roof space.
Spray Foam Insulation
Are you looking for an effective and reliable form of insulation that will warm your home, save your energy costs and reduce your carbon emissions? At Go Greener Energy Services we have a range of insulation solutions and spray foam insulation is top of the list as an affordable, innovative and long-lasting method of insulating your home.
Contact our team at Go Greener Energy Services to discuss how we can help you.
Spray Foam insulation is also known as spray polyurethane foam (SPF), and it provides a unique solution as it can be sprayed into any space or opening to provide effective insulation. Unlike conventional types of insulation, spray foam can be applied in tight and difficult to access areas and with minimal contact, such as roof voids, loft spaces and wall and floor recesses. This makes it versatile and practical and also means it provides a superior bond where alternative methods wouldn’t.
You can also expect long-term effectiveness from spray foam insulation because it can bond seamlessly with any material in and around the home, such as wood, steel and plasterboard. This means it can withstand all types of weather condition and is supremely effective whether you have a new home or an older more traditional home.
