They can also be used together with underfloor heating systems where a minimum 30mm cover to the pipes is needed. Up to 2,000m²/day may be laid using these screeds.

Scabbling/Planing are two different kinds of industrial floor preparation. Each has its own distinctive role, purpose and effect upon a floor.  Scabbling or Planing machines have a typically aggressive nature and therefore are not really suitable for coating preparation. Scabbling or Planing is utilised for both surface preparation and heavy duty planing work. It is the standard preparation technique for texturing concrete and asphalt or for removing paint, rusted material, grease, iced deposits, lined markings, and concrete laitance.

Tct cutters cut grooves in the substrate to provide a very heavy non-slip surface which also provides an ideal surface to apply epoxy and cementitious floor screeds.

With a combination of different grit sizes floor sanding lightly scores the surface to provide a key for the new coating.

Sanding can also be used to prepare weaker substrates such as sand & cement screeds latex etc.
