Conveyor order picking systems
A great way to increase through put and accuracy in picking is to use the Keymas zonal picking system. This uses roller conveyor to take the totes / cartons to pick zones where pickers using wireless barcode scanners fulfill the picks for that zone for the tote / carton.
Using zonal picking, optimises the use of time, as pickers are not walking around the warehouse to complete an order, but working within per-determined zones and picking parts of the order while the conveyor looks after the movement of the tote / carton.
Despatch Conveyor Sortation
Despatch sortation provides a way sorting boxes down the correct lane for transporting. The Keymas sortation solution works with barcode scanning and integration with a system to send boxes down despatch lanes ready for collection. This brings a return on investment by elemenating manual sorting operations.
