It includes a reset button, allowing managers to reset the system. This latest infra-red transmitter is powered by a rechargeable battery, with a full charge lasting months and a quick 2-hour recharge restoring it fully.

The device features a red alarm button and a unique emergency pull activation that keeps it securely attached to the user. Side buttons provide a double-action switch, and a green button allows battery status checks via an LED. The nearest infra-red receiver also flashes to confirm a strong signal, giving users confidence that the system is functioning correctly. An audible alert warns when the battery needs recharging.

A RED208/6 version is also available, which functions solely as an attack fob without a reset button.

This receiver is designed to extend the range of an infra-red system and is often installed in corridors, large dining areas, and en-suite W.C.s. A single infra-red receiver can connect to up to three slave units, covering roughly 200 square metres. It looks identical to the RED205.
