Compared to ultrasonic measuring instruments, radar sensors measure unaffected by temperature fluctuations, vacuum or high pressures and are insensitive to contamination. 80 GHz radar sensors also convince with very good signal focusing. VEGAFLEX: Level and Interface Measurement with Guided Wave Radar (GWR)

Guided wave radar (GWR) is used for precise level and interface measurement by sending microwave pulses along a cable or rod probe, which then reflect off the product surface.
