Automotive Flooring

Automotive Flooring

In the automotive industry, your floor will come into contact with a unique range of destructive and corrosive materials. While standard flooring will quickly degrade and show signs of wear and tear from substances like oil, petrol and grease, FloorTech’s Trazcon® flooring systems are proven to be particularly resistant against automotive spillages.
Trazcon® flooring systems ensure chemical resistance and increased durability, boasting a lifetime of well over 10 years with the correct cleaning and maintenance schedule. This makes FloorTech’s Trazcon® flooring systems the most cost-effecting flooring solution on the market. As the only PMMA resin flooring provider that can guarantee a rapid cure time of just one hour, FloorTech® makes certain that your business encounters as little downtime as possible.
With its superior strength, durability and longevity, it’s no wonder that major automotive groups such as Audi, Volkswagen and Jaguar Land Rover have selected FloorTech® as their long-term flooring partner.

The Trazcon® Décor screed creates a formidable barrier against the wide range of chemicals, acids, alkalis, cleaning agents, drinks, oils and greases that are common in the industry.
Trazcon® Décor Screed drink flooring system is specifically designed to perform in environments where wetness is a consistent factor, such as production, processing areas, raw material zones, wash down areas, keg rooms, fermentation plants and hygienic facilities.
Thanks to a closed-pore, seamless finish, FloorTech® resin flooring blocks the spread of contaminants such as spillages, giving hygiene and safety conditions that are unrivalled in the UK market.
Conductive Floors

Conductive Floors

The choice of which type of industrial flooring to use (whether conductive or static dissipative) is generally covered by UK legislation or specified by the owner’s ESD co-ordinator.
In the absence of such information, the recommendations of the Deutsche Bauchemie e. V. provide a useful guide. In summary, static dissipative (electrical resistance of 1×106Ω < RE < 1×109Ω) is sufficient for most environments, except two situations where conductive epoxy must be specified:
Areas in which there are components sensitive to electrostatic discharges.
If the area contains explosive materials that are listed in UK legislation or materials that are deemed explosive according to the tests specified by this legislation, then the electrical resistance of the floor must be ≤ 1×106Ω.
