Reliance RWC TPR28 Pressure & Temperature Relief Valve 1

Reliance RWC TPR28 Pressure & Temperature Relief Valve 1" x 28mm 7 Bar - PTEM100050

The Reliance Water Controls (RWC) TPR28 Pressure and Temperature Relief Valve is designed to safely discharge water, effectively preventing damage to hot water cylinders caused by excess pressure or high temperatures. These high-capacity valves are essential for both domestic and commercial applications, ensuring protection against over-pressurisation and temperatures exceeding 95°C. Such conditions can arise in unvented hot water systems if input temperature or pressure controls fail. The TPR28 Valve is specifically designed for installation at the upper section of a hot water cylinder, where the water reaches its highest temperatures. When activated, the valve lifts off its seat, allowing water to be released safely, thereby reducing both pressure and temperature within the cylinder.

**Features and Benefits:**

  • High-capacity protection suitable for both domestic and commercial use.
  • Prevents water temperatures from exceeding 95°C.
  • Safeguards against over-pressurisation for enhanced safety.
  • Equipped with a lever-style easing mechanism for ease of use.
  • Available in various connection sizes to meet different system requirements.

FSSCRA - ASME Approved Rupture Discs

FSSCRA - ASME Approved Rupture Discs

The FSSCRA rupture disc is an ASME-approved compression or reverse-acting disc featuring precision micro-scored petals with four, six, or more radial scores. This design ensures rapid, full opening while reducing the risk of petal separation, making the disc suitable for both low and high burst pressure applications.

Designed for use with gases and liquids (with a gas cushion), the FSSCRA performs reliably in cycling and pulsating conditions without compromising safety margins. The disc responds to overpressure within milliseconds and opens cleanly without fragmentation, making it particularly well suited for protecting safety relief valves.

With an operating-to-burst pressure ratio of up to 95%, the FSSCRA delivers excellent efficiency and stability. It offers strong corrosion resistance, which can be further enhanced with an optional PTFE lining, and in many applications can operate under full vacuum without the need for additional supports. The design complies with ASME Section VIII, Division 1 requirements.

Quick Closing Valve

Quick Closing Valve

A marine quick-closing valve (QCV) is a crucial safety shut-off valve utilised on vessels to immediately halt the flow of flammable or hazardous fluids, such as fuel oil, diesel, or lubricating oil, during a fire or emergency situation. These valves can be operated remotely and are mandated by SOLAS (International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea) and classification societies within machinery spaces and fuel systems.

Purpose of a Quick-Closing Valve

  • To swiftly isolate fuel and oil tanks during emergencies, for instance, in the event of an engine room fire.
  • To prevent fuel from exacerbating a fire.
  • To safeguard personnel and diminish potential damage.
  • To ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations, including those from the IMO, SOLAS, and classification societies.

We offer a wide selection of Quick Closing Valves from several leading manufacturers. For your specific requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us.
