Opening the Gates to a Starring Role

For those of you that are fans of ‘Gates’, the new comedy show on Sky Living, you may have caught a glimpse of Sovereign Play Equipment making a star appearance.

The Sky sitcom about parental rivalries on the school run airs on Tuesday evenings at 8.30pm and stars Sue Johnston (The Royle Family), Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey) and Tom Ellis (Miranda).

Over the last five years, Sovereign has installed a number of pieces of equipment at Lavender Primary School in Enfield; the school featured in the programme. Play areas have been created using adventure trails, an assortment of wall games, soft surfacing and activity frames.

The leading role, however, goes to ‘Rocky Mountain’, which can be seen in the background of scenes that take place in the playground; its ‘S’ logo clearly displayed.

This is not a first interaction with television for Sovereign though; in fact it is becoming a seasoned veteran to the spotlight. Recently, its equipment has appeared in ‘Educating Essex’ on Channel 4 and on reality programme ‘Peter Andre: The Next Chapter’.
