Prodigy Clutch Test Rig - Prodigy Clutching as Always
A manufacturer of clutches are opening a new site, where they have chosen to implement another Prodigy Test Rig into their operations. Since 1998 they have had 3 Prodigy Test Rigs that allow them to monitor and record tests performed using their Clutch Test Rigs. The 4th system is introduced to handle this extra workload from the new site.
System Description
The existing test systems comprise of 3 test consoles that are moveable on wheels and a number of Remote I/O Panels (one for each rig).
The new test system will also comprise of a Test Console and a Wandering I/O Panel but several improvements for the design have been introduced. With one being a Modbus TCP link from the test console to the drive panel.
The Test Console
The new style Test Console is smaller and less cumbersome than the other Test Consoles, making it easier to move around site. The console has push buttons fitted to it which lets a user request data to be logged when a test is running for high power and high-speed applications.
Derived Drivers
The console includes the following drivers:
Valid Value – to verify the communications status to the I/O
Black Box Recorder
Pulse Counter Rate
