Since its founding in 1951, the company has grown into one of the UK’s most respected transformer and rectifier manufacturers, supplying bespoke, high-performance equipment to customers across the globe.

This milestone coincides with the successful completion of two significant projects that showcase the company’s versatility and technical expertise:

Seamless Transformer Replacement – No Site Changes RequiredIn a recent transformer replacement project, our engineering team was tasked with delivering a fully compatible new unit without altering the site infrastructure or disturbing underground cables.The solution included:

• Partially insulated cable boxes to replace aged compound-filled versions
• Maintaining bushing heights to suit existing cable lengths
• Disconnecting chambers precisely aligned to existing cable centres
• Designing the transformer to fit within the existing shelter footprint
• Removable cable box covers for easier installation
  This approach delivered a cost-effective, site-ready solution with zero cable rerouting and minimal disruption.

2.5 MVA Shore to Ship Power Supply – Supporting Cleaner PortsThe company also recently delivered a 2.5 MVA Shore to Ship Power Supply unit, enabling vessels to connect to the local power grid while docked, reducing the need for onboard diesel generation. This helps cut emissions, noise, and fuel consumption in port areas, contributing to cleaner and more sustainable maritime operations.
