Integrating a Cobot Palletiser into Existing Production Lines at Bostik

Bostik, a global leader in adhesives, sealants and bonding technology, worked with Granta Automation to introduce a modular cobot palletiser at its Stafford site, integrating automated palletising into an already established production line.

Bostik, part of a global group specialising in adhesives, sealants and bonding technology, wanted to automate palletising at its Stafford site without a disruptive overhaul of an already established production line.

Granta Automation supplied a modular cobot palletiser designed to integrate with Bostik's existing line layout, automating the stacking of finished product while working safely alongside staff. Electrical Engineer Jason Tallant has described the cobot as a simple, effective way to bring automation into the site's palletising process.

For manufacturers with established production lines, the ability to add a cobot palletiser without extensive redesign of existing equipment is often just as important as the automation itself, minimising both installation time and disruption to ongoing production.

The project reflects how modular cobot systems can be tailored to fit around existing infrastructure rather than requiring it to be replaced. Granta Automation designs cobot and modular palletising systems for manufacturers across the chemical and adhesives sectors. Visit our website or contact us to find out more.
