Behind the scenes with Metamark at The Sussex Sign Company

We recently welcomed Metamark as our team wrapped our new company van using MetaCast MDC XR. The visit combined a look at the installation with a conversation about the material we were using.            

Sharing what happens behind the scenes helps customers understand the work involved in a professional wrap. The decisions made before a van leaves our workshop matter just as much as its finished appearance.

Why the material matters            

MetaCast MDC XR is a premium printable cast wrap film designed for vehicle shapes, including deep channels and recesses. Its adhesive allows installers to reposition the film, while air-release technology helps air escape during fitting.            

Choosing a suitable film is an important part of planning a wrap, particularly around complex shapes.            

The workmanship behind the finish            

Surface preparation, correct handling and careful finishing of edges and recesses all contribute to a successful installation.            

At our dedicated Vehicle Wrapping Centre at Goddards Green, near Burgess Hill, we have invested in the facilities and skills this work needs.            

More than 25 years with Metamark            

Our relationship with Metamark began more than 25 years ago, when we bought our first digital printer.            

 Earlier this year, The Sussex Sign Company became the first Metamark Approved Vehicle Wrapping Centre in Sussex, following a technical inspection of our facilities and processes.            

That gives customers reassurance that our work has been assessed against the manufacturer’s standards.
