Furniture Systems

A wide variety of furniture systems are available, allowing co-ordination between all systems types to create a totally flexible approach to furniture, storage and specialist laboratory needs.

This co-ordination stretches across all system types such as; fixed, cantilever, suspended and leg frame systems. Allowing interchange and permitting the client to mix and match

Fixed Pedestal

The Pedestal system is a fixed storage unit range which provides the robust support for the above worktop. This furniture system allows for mechanical and electrical services (gas, electric & water) to run behind the units, out of site, but accessible through the removable back of the unit. This system is widely used in the laboratory industry and educational sector.

‘C’ Frame Systems

The ‘C’ frame system provides worktop support independent of any under bench unit. It combines heavy duty weight loading with a clean open under unobstructed workstation. The ‘C’ frame legs are secured together with three satin anodised aluminium rails. The rear top and bottom rails are of a custom extruded profile channel in order to take a 15mm thick lift out access panel. This framework allows for mobile and suspended units.

‘H’ Frame System

The ‘H’ frame system comprises a series of powder coated 1.6mm mild steel support legs, connected with 1.6mm mild steel span rails. The set of 3 span rails are fitted top front & rear and bottom back to add extra rigidity for greater weight loading on the work surface. This framework allows for mobile and suspended units.

‘T’ (Cantilever) Frame System

The T Frame System comprises a series of powder coated 1.6mm mild steel support legs, fixed and braced to the back wall with the worktop supported by this cantilever system. Ideal for ICT applications.

Modular Bench System

Our mobile/ freestanding bench system offers ultimate convenience as the end user is able to configure their lab to suit their own requirements. We largely see this system adopted in the pharmaceutical industry, where the needs of the laboratory do not change that often. Meeting with our design team, we will be able to tailor the lab space to the lab user’s needs. Serviced modules are available with pre-plumbed or pre-wired wet and dry service outlets. Constructed from powder coated 1.6mm mild steel tube.

Balance Bench

Our balance bench consists of a heavy duty powder coated mild steel support frame, with the work surface supported on the steel frame using anti-vibration mounts. Balance benches are provided either freestanding or as part of an integral bench system. Isolation from the rest of the bench is provided through a cut out to this bench with room for vibration.

Height Adjustable

Our height adjustable benches provide 300mm of open height adjustment ranging from 640mm high to 940 high. Each frame is powder coated to an agreed RAL colour with choice of worktop. We offer both basic height adjustable frames and frames suitable for services such as sink or hob.

Trespa TopLab Range

The TopLab product lines, ‘Base’ and ‘Plus’, are developed specifically for the most demanding functional and scientific applications and combine basic requirements like chemical resistance, high durability and long lasting hygiene with an attractive and timeless palette of inspiring colours.

Laminate MDF

Laminate medium density fibreboard (MDF) work surfaces are hard wearing and resistant to abrasion. They incorporate a 2mm edge tape seal to guard the core material against water ingress. Suitable for many applications including ICT, DT, Food technology classrooms. Available in 20mm and 25mm thickness.

Velstone Surface Material

Velstone is a premium solid surface material manufactured using a unique blend of unsaturated polyester resin and acrylic resin that offers great mechanical strength and weathering resistance. Velstone is 100% non-porous product, which allows a seamless surface. Traditional solid surface laboratory tops are manufactured using 3-13 mm thick solid surface material bonded on 25mm thick MDF. Velstone has developed a solid 25mm thick product which does not need conventional fabrication or MDF support. These 25mm surfaces create a sterile work surface which is easy to care & maintain.

Hardwood Surface Material

Hardwood has been the traditional choice for school laboratories and other educational applications. The key advantage for this is that they can easily be re-furbished by sanding off the top layer, and if maintained to a high standard the durable work surface is heat and solvent resistant.

Corian Surface Material

Corian is a premium solid surface material formulated from 1/3 acrylic and 2/3 mineral filler, resulting in its strong and durable structure. It is a non-porous material which is naturally resistant to mould and bacteria. Corian is a 12mm thick solid surface bonded to a 25mm MDF frame leaving an overall thickness of 37mm.
