Digital labelling offers better performance and flexibility than the conventional label printing techniques. Digital labelling for instance has made it possible to process just in time orders and faster turnaround time for label orders: giving you a lead time of up to 3 days to order for labels.

If you have a requirement for industrial and security labels that withstand specific temperature extremes, or if the label needs to be on your product for the duration of its life, then we can help. Asset labelling is a major area of our work. Our range of products include UL approved labels, cable and wire marking labels, CE marking labels, asset tracking labels, mark and seal labels and PAT labels.

We have several solutions for applications where a label is required that can withstand high temperatures. Typical examples are labels for autoclaving, high temperature electronics and PCB labelling, and Kapton labels for temperatures in excess of 250C.

Foiling or Foil Block Embellishments are fantastic ways to strengthen your product range and give them a premium finish.

Foiling, also known as hot or cold foiling is applied using a foil block to apply a foil substrate through pressure (and heat if applicable) to specific areas to the label artwork to elevate the design and deliver a luxury detail.                                                                

While label lamination utilises a layer of film to protect your label, varnishes operate a bit differently.

Label varnishes are liquids that are rolled onto a label and then cured or dried so that the varnish adheres to the label materials’s surface. This method makes varnishes a good option for paper labels because the liquid can conform to the texture of the paper and fill in any nooks and crannies.

There are a few different types of label varnishes that differ based on the application process or their final appearance.                                                                

Lamination involves pressing a clear polypropylene material over the top of the printed labels on rolls.

Originally this was purely an industrial solution, in that the additional layer adds extra protection against scratching, abrasion and UV light, as well as increasing the rigidity and durability of the labels. This makes it an ideal option if your labels will be used in a demanding environment.

Whilst this is still valid today, increasingly clients are choosing to add a laminate for marketing and aesthetic purposes. What we are also finding is how a label ‘feels’ is becoming almost as important as how it looks.                                                                

Label embossing is a special technique that presses specific designs into your labels, thus making them actually “stand out” from the typical flat label surface.

This capability is a popular feature for a variety of products, such as wine labels, health and beauty labels, and other options, adding a tactile, premium feel that enhances brand perception.

Embossing and debossing create distinctive textures and elegant designs, making labels more memorable and visually appealing while elevating product presentation.                                                                

Whilst all of the embellishments offered in this section offer extremely high end superior labels, they are not without cost.

There is often a high degree of set up which adds to the cost of the labels, not to mention the tooling which, although normally one off costs, can be prohibitive if you are only looking for small runs.

In the past adding metallic effects to your labels was only achievable by the use of either a metallic ink, or the addition of foiling.
