Compression Load Cells

LCM Systems manufacture a wide range of standard and custom designed compression load cells. Our range starts with very small compression load cells with capacities of 1kgs through to large 1000 tonne compression load cells. Designs include low profile, S-beams, pillar, button, annular and single point compression load cells. Ideal for general weighing applications, silo and vessel weighing and for determining centre of gravity, all compression load cells can be supplied with instrumentation packages including amplifiers and displays. We can also supply bespoke compression load cells in excess of 2000 tonnes.

Tension Load Cells

LCM Systems offer a range of tension load cells designed to measure tensile loads. The types of tension load cells available include s-beams, columns, low profile, shackle and link type load cells. Capacities start at 1kg through to 1000 tonnes, and as with all our load cells, our tension load cell range can be supplied with supplementary instrumentation. If you have a requirement that is not covered by our standard tension load cell range, we can custom design a solution that meets your specific needs.

Tension & Compression Load Cells

LCM Systems' range of tension and compression load cells can be used to measure both tensile and compressive loads. Manufactured from stainless steel or aluminium alloy, these tension and compression load cells offer a high level of corrosive resistance for use in harsh environments with environmental sealing up to IP68. Available in capacities from 1kg to over 100 tonnes, all tension and compression load cells are supplied with a full certificate of calibration. Custom designed tension and compression load cells are also available, along with a wide variety of associated instrumentation.

Load Shackles

The LCM range of load shackles have been designed for lifting and weighing in rugged or harsh environments. The load shackle pins are manufactured from high tensile carbon steel, while the basic shackle uses the renowned Crosby G2130, G2140 and G2150 series (depending on the load rating). As an option, a rotating bobbin can be supplied to centralise the load and minimise any point-load effects. We can also supply load shackles that are fully submersible for subsea and offshore applications, as well as telemetry load shackles.

Load Pins

The LCM range of load pins are designed for the measurement of tensile and compressive forces across a wide range of applications, including crane/lifting, industrial, marine, offshore and civil engineering. Machined from high tensile stainless steel, our load pins are suitable for use in exposed situations including prolonged immersion in seawater. We offer a standard range of load pins, covering ratings between 500kgs to 1500 tonnes, however, the nature of this type of product means that most load pins are manufactured to meet each customers specific dimensional requirements.

Load Links

The LCM load link series has been designed for lifting and weighing applications in harsh environments, being manufactured from high tensile aluminium or stainless steel. Simple to install, and matched to standard shackle sizes, our load links come in ratings from 1 to 500 tonnes and are environmentally sealed to IP65, IP66 or IP67 as required. Load links manufactured to specific dimensions and to higher ratings are available on request. A range of displays are also available to suit each application.

Beam Load Cell

LCM Systems beam load cells are ideally suited to all industrial weighing scale and general load measurement applications, including vessel, tank, silo and process weighing. Our beam load cell range starts with capacities from 2kgs through to 100 tonnes, and are available in a range of environmental sealings up to IP68. All our beam load cells can be supplied on their own or combined with our extensive range of instrumentation to provide a complete monitoring or control system.

Wireless Load Cells

We manufacture and supply a wide selection of wireless load cells that are ideal for situations where the use of traditional cabled load cells would limit distance or movement. Our comprehensive range of products includes load shackles, load pins, compression load cells and load links, a number of which are available ex-stock. We can also customise many of our standard products to incorporate wireless technology or design a custom product to suit.

ATEX Compression Load Cells

Load cells operating in areas where explosive atmospheres are present are required to meet stringent criteria and must be designed in such a way that there is no possibility that they could become a source of ignition. LCM Systems are a market leader in the design and manufacture of ATEX/IECEx load cells for weighing in hazardous areas, having developed a range of load cells specifically designed for use in Zones 1 and 2.

Atex Load Shackles

Our ATEX/IECEx load shackles are suitable for use in hazardous areas where the introduction of potential ignition sources is simply not acceptable. Designed specifically for use in harsh environments, they meet the criteria required for operation in Zone 1 and 2 designated areas.
Available in load ratings from 3.25 tonnes to over 1000 tonnes, we can also offer special ranges and capacities. Displays and other associated electronics can also be supplied to provide a complete load monitoring package.

ATEX Load Pins

Load pins are often required for weighing applications within designated hazardous areas, and LCM Systems provide a range of ATEX/IECEx certified load pins to suit this application. We supply mV/V output as standard, but 4-20mA or 0-10V is also available.

ATEX Load Links

Our highly accurate and reliable ATEX/IECEx load links are ideal use in Zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas. Designed with hole sizes to suit standard shackles, they are available in load ratings from 5 tonnes to 100 tonnes, although higher capacities are available on request.
Standard output is mV/V, but we can supply with integral signal conditioning to give 4-20mA or 0-10V output. Other options include special electrical connectors, displays and specially packaged electronics.

Pressure Transducers

The LCM range of pressure transducers have been specifically designed for applications that require exceptional pressure sensing performance and long-life reliability. Our pressure transducers utilise bonded foil strain gauge technology with a single piece stainless steel diaphram construction. This makes them ideal for a wide range of applications including hydraulic lifting, mobile hydraulic vehicles, portable test gear and air frame test rigs. We can supply our pressure transducers on their own or with instrumentation to provide a complete package

Pressure Transmitters

The LCM range of pressure transmitters utilise bonded foil strain gauge technology with a single piece stainless steel diaphram construction to make them durable enough for a long-term, reliable operation in a wide range of applications, including on-board vehicle weighing, earthmoving vehicle hydraulic system protection/weighing, portable test gear and air frame test rigs. We can supply our pressure transmitters on their own or with an instrumentation package to provide a complete system.

Digital Indicators

LCM Systems offer a wide range of digital indicators for use with load cells, pressure transducers, pressure transmitters and other sensors. They provide a clear LED display of the load and come in wall mounted, hand held and telemetry versions to suit all applications.

Hand held Indicators

LCM Systems offer a number of hand held indicators providing different levels of functionality. All are simple to use and have a good battery life. They are completely portable and packaged in small, robust IP65 enclosures. Both wireless and cabled versions are available.

Amplifiers & Conditioners

LCM Systems offer a wide range of load cell amplifiers and conditioners for load cell, sensor and general process applications. We specialise in supplying high performance electronic products that offer high accuracy, performance and speed. Our range of load cell amplifiers and conditioners includes simple internal amplifiers, wireless telemetry systems, strain gauge digitisers and USB conditioning modules.

Wireless Instrumentation

LCM Systems offer a wide range of wireless instrumentation products for load cell, sensor and general process applications. Our wireless instrumentation provides a highly accurate and easy to use method of taking measurements wirelessly. They can range from simple single-channel setup with one load cell and a remote display to multiple-channel setup monitoring large numbers of load load cells.

ATEX Accessories

Designed for operation within zone 1 and 2 hazardous areas, LCM Systems offer a number of ATEX accessories that can be combined with our range of ATEX load cells to form part of a complete package.

Custom Design Load Cells

We have designed and manufactured thousands of custom designed load cells, from tiny 100N annular load cells to 2000 tonne column load cells. These can be a standard product that has been adapted to suit the customers exact requirements, whether that be changing the dimensions, using specialist strain gauges, connectors and cables suitable for use in high temperatures or adapting for prolonged sub sea use. Alternatively, we can design and manufacture a completely new product to meet the needs of the customers specifc application. We can make one-off products or manufacture high volume batches, all of which are competitively priced and typically with six week lead time from receipt of order to despatch.

Custom Design Load Pins

LCM Systems have designed thousands of custom design load pins, from tiny 125kg rated load pins to load pins with capacities of over 1000 tonnes. In fact around 90% of the load pins we manufacture are custom designs, giving us many years’ experience and an unsurpassed expertise in providing our customers with the most suitable load pin solution.
All our bespoke load pins are designed and built at our head office and factory located at purpose built facilities in Newport, Isle of Wight, UK. Our expert team of design engineers are also based here and use the latest CAD software to produce detailed 3D designs that are always sent for review and approval to the customer prior to manufacture.
