Following the launch of licence-free PMR446 radios in 1999, our Managing Director, with over a decade of industry experience, founded Outerzone Limited in 2000 from a garage office. The company's first product, the @ctive two-way radio, was a compact, all-in-one kit that stood out in a market with few innovative offerings. As demand grew, we expanded our range with unique models like a credit card-sized radio and a wrist-worn version, focusing exclusively on the licence-free segment.

However, as larger manufacturers entered the market and drove prices down, it became difficult for a small business to remain competitive while maintaining high service standards. When our key supplier shifted focus to CB radios, we chose not to follow and instead launched a new business radio brand under our rebranded company, Ingenso Limited. By outsourcing manufacturing, we retained control over product features and quality, which led to the creation of the Opus radio brand.

Today, more than 20 years later, Opus includes a diverse range of models, with a strong focus on digital business radios. We've also built partnerships with major brands like Motorola, Hytera, Kenwood, Icom, and Entel, allowing us to offer a wide portfolio of solutions.
