All Purpose Carcassing Timbers

Are you looking for structural timbers? Then you've come to the right place. All of our woods are great quality at low prices, and they come in a range of sizes to suit any project. They're ideal for roof battens, floor joists, even stud-work for partitioned walls, and whatever else you need.

Sometimes you need a certain number of beams in certain sizes. This can result in a lot of leftover wood that you just can't use and have to dispose of. To make sure this doesn't happen to you, we can also provide a cut-to-measure service.

Wooden Decking

Decking is one of the most popular ways of transforming a garden into a living space. Decks are an alternative to patios and can be made expansive or compact to suit the size of your garden. We have all of the joists, beams, decking boards, fittings and accessories you need to make the deck you want- a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the sun.

Add value to your home. When you're planning on building a deck, you need to know that the timbers you're going to use are high quality. And whether you just want a flat raised section of your garden or plan to have wooden posts and handrails along the edge, you need it to be fantastic quality at affordable prices

Timber Fencing

When you're buying fencing security is your first concern. Your garden fencing needs to survive the weather without getting knocked down or falling apart, and it needs to keep your garden safe. Taller fence panels can give you some privacy in your garden, while lower fences will allow you to chat to your neighbours over a cup of tea.

And of course, it needs to look nice. It needs to have the right style and be made of the right wood, all while being long-lasting and secure. That's why we stock such a huge range of products, everything from panels and fencing posts to coverings and trellis. Make your fence a part of your garden with RIC Hemmings.

Sheet Materials

An effective and versatile alternative to timber. Moisture density fibreboard (MDF) is easily machinable and has very good compressive strength, which makes it useful for a variety of purposes. It also takes paint very well, making it an ideal finish for the decorative mouldings in your home.

We stock a wide range of different MDFs, so we're sure to have what you need. We have a number of different types of MDFs, everything from standard MDF to hardboards and plasterboards, and they all come in a range of sizes to provide a close match to your needs. Come down to our stockyard to see for yourself.

Solid Railway Sleepers

We sell two kinds of railway sleepers - The first are the 'Old' Reclaimed (Grade 1) hardwood railway sleepers, the second kind are the 'New' Spruce Sleepers.

Hardwoods

When you buy hardwoods you want them to last. That's why we buy in some of the best quality hardwood timbers available. We can provide you with all the hardwood you'll need for your bio whether you need European Oak, American Ash, or even something more exotic like Merbau or Idigbo. Check out the list below to get an idea of just how wide our selection of woods is.

Our hardwoods are versatile too. Because we can get them in a range of measurements, they can be used for everything from floorboards and carcassing to door frames and other mouldings. We can even provide you with a single wood or several woods for different parts of your building project. Dark oak floors and light pine architraves?
