Adena Fire Safety Services is celebrating a significant milestone this year, marking 15 years of delivering professional fire safety support to organisations across the region.

The family business origins date back to 2006, when founder Gary began offering fire safety services alongside his role as a serving firefighter. What started as a sole trader operation quickly gained momentum, as businesses responded to a clear need for practical, experience-led fire safety guidance.

Meeting the demand

By 2011, growing demand prompted a pivotal decision. Jacqui left her London-based career to formally establish Adena Fire Safety Services Ltd. That decision transformed a growing side venture into a dedicated consultancy, built on operational insight, technical expertise and strong client partnerships.

From the outset, Adena Fire has distinguished itself through its team. Made up largely of current and former Fire Service professionals, the consultancy offers more than theoretical compliance advice. Its consultants bring direct, frontline experience of fire incidents, enabling them to deliver informed fire risk assessments, comprehensive training programmes, consultancy services and specialist dry and wet riser testing, all grounded in real-world understanding.

Year-on-year growth

Over the past decade and a half, the business has expanded to a team of around 20 assessors, trainers, engineers and support staff. Continued investment in people, systems and standards has driven consistent year-on-year growth and strengthened its reputation for reliability and professionalism.

Managing Director Jacqui Critch reflected on the milestone: “Celebrating 15 years is a proud moment for everyone involved.
