Whatever you know it as, this backup flux is designed to protect your weld from oxide inclusions. Most frequently it is used to protect the rear of the weld is from oxygen contamination but it also offers to reduce oxides during welding and also help prevent post weld re-oxidation.

Save a decent amount on gas purging cost by using Solar Flux instead. Look at this flux as a money saving device rather than just a flux powder.

The Arc Air miniature thermic lances have been designed for use with the Speed Fire slice torch for the thermic lancing of various materials which includes stone, brick, steel and stainless steels plus a wide variety of other metals. These mini thermic lances are termed "packed" as the thermic lance tube is filed with steel to aid the combustion / lancing process.

The Arc Air Speed Fire thermic slice rods or lances are sold in convenient packs of 25, 50 and 100 lances, depending on the size and length.

A popular application for miniature thermic lances is the removal of hinge pins which have been frozen in place by corrosion / rust. A hole is lanced through the centre of the pin then once the pin cools down the pin shrinks and may be easily driven out.
