In Circuit Test System Services

At Forwessun, we are proud to offer global services and support for a wide range of In-Circuit Test (ICT) Systems. We provide rigorously tested, refurbished systems for sale at a fraction of the original price.

Refurbished In Circuit Test Systems

Forwessun provides In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems for both sale and rental on various test platforms, including: Agilent/Keysight, GenRad and Teradyne.

We can support urgent capacity requirements. We are flexible and can provide short term system rental services to help you with your short-term capacity needs.

Our ICT systems are refurbished to the highest standard to look and perform as new.

Our refurbishment program involves the complete strip down of the system.
All metalwork is powder coat painted.
All consumable parts (fans, seals, filters, valves) are replaced with brand new.
All electronics are refurbished to a ‘like new’ condition.
Systems are calibrated prior to delivery with full certification provided.

All ICT systems are supplied with a 12 month warranty.

We are also able to offer service contracts for your ICT systems.
Forwessun Test System

Test System Calibration

Forwessun can perform system calibrations to your Agilent / Keysight, GenRad and Teradyne In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems.

Calibrations can be performed at planned intervals agreeable to the customer and are performed following national calibration standards.

National standards are administered by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) or other recognised national standards laboratories.

The equipment used by Forwessun is maintained by periodic calibrations by an external instrument calibration company, according to SR EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017

Full traceable certification is provided with all calibrations.

We have experienced engineers that can perform calibrations, based in the UK, Europe and Mexico.

We are also able to offer service contracts for your ICT systems.

Test System Repairs

Test System Repairs

Forwessun offer a repair service for your faulty Agilent / Keysight, GenRad and Teradyne cards and power supplies from your In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems.

We can offer either a repair and return, or an exchange, depending on the urgency.

All repairs and exchanges come with a 60 day warranty.

We are also able to offer service contracts for your ICT systems.

Forwessun manufacture custom verification PCB’s with reduced test pad size to check for probe accuracy throughout the life of the fixture.

Forwessun custom verification PCB’s can be fitted with UUT connectors to also check for Loopback test hardware alignment, including push fit connectors.

RF shielded boxes / chambers are essential for reliably testing radio interfaces. They enable reliable and reproducible measurements when a shielded test environment is needed.

Design For Test (DFT)

In-Circuit Test (ICT) has remained one of the most popular and cost-effective test methods for medium and high volume electronic printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) for many years. This is due to its component level fault diagnosis capability and its speed.

ICT checks each component on a PCB individually, delivering highly reliable results. It detects defects such as faulty, wrong or missing components, solder bridges and short circuits. While investing in this solution requires a larger initial upfront cost when compared to flying probe, the cost per unit is negligible (often less than £1) due to the swift test time (usually less than one minute).

The ICT method comprises a test fixture and program dedicated to the target test platform and unit under test (UUT). In order to optimise the effectiveness of the test, the circuit design and layout of the PCBA itself must be suitable for ICT. Therefore, design for test (DFT) is an integral stage of PCB realisation; without taking this phase into account, you will not be able to get the most from your test strategy.

Device Programming

Device Programming

Forwessun can provide dedicated programming stations and can also include device programming as part of the In-Circuit Test (ICT) solution.

Our programmers are experienced with programming devices using test vectors and also programmers fitted inside the test fixtures to include STLINK, MPLAB, PEmicro Cyclone, FlashRunner, Segger etc. We can generate test vectors allowing us to program / verify SPI flash in Dual and Quad mode.

Test fixture hardware will be used to isolate the programming signals from tester interference, to ensure that the programming is as stable as possible and give you the fastest programming speed.

Forwessun can supply replacement parts for your existing In-Circuit Test (ICT) systems for a fraction of the OEM cost.

All module cards and power supplies are thoroughly soak tested and come with a 60 day warranty.
