Sound Monitoring Software Can be Left Unattended

19 June 2008

New Environmental Noise Management System from Brüel & Kjær offers remote real time solution.

Important sound monitoring data can now be streamed in real time directly to a central database. Brüel & Kjær’s have developed the Noise Management Terminal software – Type 7843 to allow much greater convenience for employees to view and examine noise data.

The Environmental Noise Management software Type 7843 offers real-time communication with an almost unlimited number of remotely located Noise Monitoring Terminals (NMTs), with the data being streamed directly to a central database.

The information can then be streamed over GPRS, LAN or W-LAN connections directly to 7843 system, once the information has been retrieved it can be analysed immediately on one - or more - computers at the user’s office, without the need for a field visit

The NMTs can also be controlled and programmed from the office through the central control software. Designed for Brüel & Kjær’s Noise Monitoring Terminals, the 7843 software was created using input from actual NMT customers, to make sure it was suitable for noise monitoring at a wide range of locations including railway stations, airports, roads, cities and industrial sites. Contained within a protective enclosure, the NMTs have been built to withstand any type of weather condition or location, such as industrial and urban areas. The NMTs can be left unattended for permanent or semi-permanent monitoring over very long periods of time.
