Safety-Grip

Heskins original anti-slip grip tape is Safety-Grip, abrasive minerals applied to a self-adhesive filmic carrier. Manufactured primarily for industrial environments, Safety-Grip tape can be used for many other applications. Back in 1997, Heskins developed the hard-wearing and effective product that is still to date our most popular range. Over the years we have constantly added to and developed the range; surface variants, more colours, different adhesives, special prints, and bespoke additions.

We produce Safety-Grip in 3 main grades:

Standard − used for most situations, the abrasive coatings provide excellent levels of grip and friction.

Coarse − a deeper material, it is an industrial-grade grip tape, which might not be suitable for more conventional applications.

X-Coarse − a unique product, nothing else in the world comes close, only suitable for industrial situations, the deep grit prevents clogging by dirt or dust. Due to its thickness, we apply a higher grade (HG) adhesive to prevent lifting, and a thicker plastic carrier is used to increase durability.

Signage

Non Abrasives

Heskins Aqua-Safe & non-abrasive anti slip tape range have a unique non slip coating to ensure an effective non slip flooring, yet has a smoother surface for walking bare foot on and no abrasion to prevent damage to skin, material or wet suits. Non-slip flooring in a wet or marine environment has always been a challenge, yet with Heskins Aqua-Safe you can easily obtain a good non-slip surface with our non-abrasive non-slip tape. This non-slip safety flooring is ideal for use in food safety areas, due to its lack of abrasive peaks and valleys and is a unique product. The product is ideal for use on any wet areas as a non-slip surface, suitable for use as non-slip bathroom flooring on tiles or as a non-slip surface round swimming pools, hot tubs and even on boats. Because it is not abrasive, it can also be easily cleaned, making it suitable for areas with strict hygiene regulations.

Glow in the Dark Tape

Power outs in the workplace increase health and safety hazards, and doing your upmost to eradicate the problems that may arise can save you and your employees a lot of hardship. Heskins produce glow in the dark tape for that very purpose, manufactured using the latest technology in photoluminescence to ensure walkways, stairways and entrances and exits are illuminated well enough for you to find your way safely.

The glow in the dark materials used to manufacture our tapes are non-toxic, and free from any phosphorous or radioactive material. Photoluminescent tape can take very little time to charge by absorbing artificial or natural light (approx. 2 hours) by the use of photons. In a lights out situation, Heskins glow in the dark tape emits a strong photoluminescent reaction that can illuminate stair nosings, door surrounds, walkways, stairways, skirting boards, entrance/exit ways and anywhere else that would require strong, electricity free illumination.

Sheeting

We can convert flexible roll based products into flat sheets; fully computerised PLC based systems control the machinery to ensure accuracy within very tight tolerances.

Our custom designed and manufactured crush cut sheeter that we used to sheet our non slip floor materials can even work with very thick and tough products that other sheeters cannot handle.

Crush Cutting

The cutting method we use on our flooring tape is the toughest slitting method for flexible products, able to cut virtually anything. For our non slip floor tape the only method that can effectively slit is crush cutting, it will work with many awkward and difficult flexible materials.

We can accommodate widths up to 1.4m wide and can slit down to 9mm wide (dependent on product stability).

Die Cutting

We possess various types of die cutters from intricate double die station rotaries to large scale, high tonnage flat beds able, used on our flooring tape, to produce bespoke sizes and shapes, we can make any size from 1mmx1mm to 825mm x 1550mm, accurate to within 0.2mm. We can also provide these kiss cut.

Single Knife Slitting

Single knife slitting is a cost effective way of converting logs (wide width finished material) of non-abrasive product, accurate to 0.5mm with widths as narrow as 2mm possible. We have multiple slitters from manufacturers based in the UK, EU and Australia.

Snap Back Liners

Snapback liners are available for all die cut pieces. A slit is made down the middle of the entire backing liner to make for easier removals. Snapback liners allow for rapid application, vastly reducing labour time and cost.
