Call for Assistance with your Finger, Fist, Foot or Elbow

01 October 2008

A new panic switch has been launched to help the elderly or those suffering diabilities react quickly in an emergency.

C-Tec, the manufacturer of alarm and safety systems for improved quality of life have launched a versatile, cost effective Strip-Switch designed to interface with C-Tec’s conventional and analogue call systems that is able to raise alert with the touch of a finger, fist, foot or elbow.

The Strip-Switches can be installed in continuous lengths over extended areas. Simply press any area of the brightly coloured Strip to activate a call.

Ideal for straightforward call signaling applications or as an out-of-sight ‘panic alarm’ system when installed under counter tops or interview room desks. Other applications include factories (alongside machines), security areas, hospitals, police stations, prisons, residential care homes, shower rooms and disabled toilets.

Says Andy Green, C-TEC’s Marketing Services Manager: “The decision to add the ‘Strip-Switch’ to our product portfolio demonstrates our commitment to making C-TEC’s call systems even more accessible to those who need them most - people calling for assistance.”
