Spirals

We can manufacture to your supplied drawings or an existing screw sample. If needed, we can visit site or collect a current screw for accurate measurement and in-house design.

Material options include: mild steel, stainless steel, mild steel with stainless cladding, hard-faced flighting, and hard-faced centre shafts — with chrome carbide now available.

At Conveyor & Elevator, we understand downtime is expensive, so we provide fast support in breakdown situations. Spirals can be delivered or collected for inspection or repair, with work starting as soon as they arrive at our factory.

We can also record all measurements and produce drawings for spare parts or future replacements.

We design and manufacture complete screw conveyors to your specifications or based on your own drawings. Available in mild steel, stainless steel, and abrasion-resistant materials.

Suitable for conveying: Aggregates, cement, sand, minerals, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cereals, grains, food products, sludge, waste, biomass, salt, sugar, fertilizers, glass cullet, adhesives, and more.

Drive Options: Chain drives (top/side/underside mounted), direct drive with coupling, shaft-mounted drives, variable speed, or preferred customer brands.

Casing Types: U-trough, flared trough, or tubular — in galvanised/painted mild steel or stainless steel (304, 316, Duplex). Options include drop-bottom doors for cleaning, hinged/bolted covers, slide or rotary valves, overflow protection, and wear-resistant liners.

Bearing Options: Hanger/intermediate bearings in cast iron or self-lubricating gunmetal, split for easy maintenance. End bearings include flange-mounted, plummer block, high-temperature, or customer-specified types.

Shaft Seal Options: Lip seals, gland seals, air-purged seals, or mechanical seals.

Specialist Hardfacing Services

For machines that transport harsh, abrasive products, heavy duty equipment is required. We have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of such equipment, offering specialist hardfacing, a process where layers of material are welded to a base metal. Hardfacing can be applied during production or it can be used to restore worn-down components, increasing wear resistance and prolonging life expectancy.
