Mettlers' X-Ray demo van takes to the road

22 February 2010

Mettler Toledos' Safeline takes to the road this spring, giving food and pharmaceutical companies the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the latest x-ray technology.

Showcasing new cutting edge x-ray equipment, the demo van will be touring the country and Ireland from 5 April to 14 May providing on-site demonstrations.

The van contains two state-of-the art x-ray machines. The AdvanCheK x-ray inspection system is designed to withstand harsh wash down environments. This machine is a powerful yet economical x-ray inspection unit that detects multiple contaminants such as metal, stone, bone, glass and dense plastics.

The recently upgraded InspireX R20 x-ray inspection system detects and rejects many contaminants as well as scans for missing and broken products, detects package voids and checks fill levels to guarantee product and package integrity.

Both systems use Safelines' unique low energy x-ray technology that is unmatched in the industry for sensitivity and simplicity.  Live test reports can be run on both x-ray machines. Visitors to the van can test their own products without having to take significant time out of their busy work schedules.
