New Barcode Thermometer for Water Temperature Monitoring

UK manufacturer and temperature specialist, TM Electronics (TME) has developed the next generation in hand-held thermometers, the MM7000 ThermoBar Scan – a unique Barcode Thermometer with Bluetooth communication.
Engineers can now use this new thermometer to monitor temperature, eliminate paper-records and prove due diligence – all in one instrument.
The MM7000 offers a revolutionary hand-held logging capability: to record not only temperature, time and date but also the identity of what is scanned, thanks to its use of barcode technology.
As well as taking accurate temperatures, the MM7000 scans a barcode, assigned to a particular installation, such as a water tank or tap. This can be applied with a label or by using a portable menu of barcodes. Temperature, time, date and barcode are then recorded and stored – up to 250 readings at a time. The data can then be downloaded easily to PC, PDA or mobile phone. Management software compatible with most common data base systems is included in the package.
Case Study – Legionella Control
Dantek Environmental Services in Bristol is currently using the ThermoBar Scan at a large private school in West Sussex, monitoring cold water storage tanks, hot water calorifiers and sentinel taps.
