A Competent Person is required for carrying out noise at work risk assessments according to The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
If you have any responsibility over the impact of noise in your workplace, then attending this course is designed for you, leading you to that Competent Person status.We provide a relaxed, supportive atmosphere to learn in; complimented by a lecturer with a wealth of real world experience, meaning what you learn will be immediately transferrable.
We'll equip you to HSE standards, enabling you to prepare thorough noise risk assessment reports by giving you a detailed insight into the latest standards and legislation. It covers Acoustic Theory, Noise Reduction Techniques, and Instrumentation and Measurement; helping you tackle the regulations and protect your business from prosecution or claims.

Course structure
During the three days you'll study noise in principle and in practical ways, providing you with a broad understanding of Noise at Work. After successful completion of a risk assessment report conducted in your workplace, you'll be awarded with a certificate of competence, making you legislatively qualified to undertake risk assessments back at your business.
