There’s 'Gold' in them there Gastronorm containers from Catering Equipment Ltd

The Birmingham based gastronorm container and sink supplier / manufacturer announced today, what is probably the single most significant development in gastronorm containers since their introduction to the UK from the Swiss system in the early 70s.
This fantastic development is no less than the colour gold on a stainless steel range of containers. Until recently it was not possible to obtain stainless steel in any other colour than stainless steel, therefore the gold colour is very special. No longer will the humble gastronorm container have to hide away at the back of house - it can now be proudly displayed front of house in the finest dining establishments.Catering Equipment Ltds' Managing Director, Anthony Prestage;
“We were very excited about this development as the colour was created by a secret process to the 304 stainless steel, which actually changes the top surface of the stainless steel to look like the colour gold and what is more exciting still is the gold surface is three times harder than chrome plating.“
With over 70,000 traditional gastronorm components and catering sinks in stock in our central Birmingham warehouse, the new gold coloured appearance makes a fantastic addition to our already comprehensive range.
