Pizza Express and Zizzi tile interiors with Ultra Tile

22 July 2011

ProRaid RS from Ultra Tile, part of the Instarmac Group plc, was recently specified by Northumbrian Tiling Contractors for the interior tiling contracts in both the Hull and Lincoln restaurants.

The tiling contractors used Ultra Tile Prostick BS tile adhesive for the ceramic wall tiles and Ultra Tile ProRapid RS tile adhesive for the porcelain floor tiles. The wall tiles and floor tiles were then both grouted in Grey with Ultra Tile FlexJoint tile grout.

Ideal for ceramic and mosaic tiles, ProStick BS tile adhesive is self-priming with non-slip properties and is fungus and mould resistant in intermittently wet areas. To help avoid wastage on project completion, ProStick BS is available in tub sizes of 3.75 kgs, 7.5 kgs and 15kgs.

Ideal for porcelain and natural stone tile application, ProRapid RS is professionally formulated with outstanding high bonding strength and fast setting properties. With an open working time of 40 minutes and a setting time of just 2 hours, the high polymer content makes ProRapid RS flexible to work with as well as being compatible with underfloor heating systems and can be applied on floors or walls with a bed thickness of between 3mm and 12mm. ProRapid RS is available in Grey or White 20 kg tubs and conforms to EN 12004 Class C2FT.

The recently improved FlexJoint polymer modified Tile Grout, designed with the trade, for the trade, now provides ultimate flexibility with a super fine texture and is completely water repellent and mould resistant. FlexJoint is compatible with underfloor heating systems and suitable for grouting widths from 1mm - 20mm.

Recognising Ultra Tiles' consistent high performance tile adhesives and grouts, Northumbrian Tiling were no strangers to the Ultra Tile brand which is their first and preferred choice and were immediately impressed with the new improved FlexJoint;

“It was exceptionally good, excellent to work with and added to the ease of completion.”

The restaurants are now open to the public in Hull and Lincoln.
